4th of July

On the 4th we went to the lake all day with one of our friends who has a boat.  For most of the day it was just me, Drew, Sean, Nathan and Elliott.  We all attempted wake surfing.  I was not very good!  We didn't get home from the lake until close to 9:00 and the fireworks began at 9:30.  We got ready really fast at the guys place who live down town.  We were able to watch the fireworks from their street.  Drew, Sean, Nathan and I all enjoyed the great show that Houston put on.  We went out for a little bit after the show.  It was a very fun day!  God bless America!!!

Dallas people in Town

Last weekend some people from Dallas came to Houston.  We had a fun but crazy weekend.  On Friday night we got a table at one of the new bars in town.  We were all dancing (even on the couches and tables-yikes)!  Then Saturday we went by the pool and then went out again.  This time we took a limo.  Someone there heard about a limo that you can take that is pretty much like a cab in that it only costs $15.  When it pulled up we were all laughing so hard because that limo was probably from 1984.  It had a VHS player only and weird stuffed animals in it.  Anyway, here are a few pics from both nights.

In the awesome limo.  In case you're wondering.....the guy on the right is wearing a fake mustache.  Don't ask.

Lake Texoma

Over the weekend we went to Sean's lake house.  There were 13 of us total and we had a blast!  Drew and I drove up Thursday night after work and got in a little before 1 AM.  On Friday we headed to the lake and we were on the water until about 7.  That night we grilled out and drank on Sean's deck.  Saturday we were back on the lake.  That night I was exhausted!  I just can't drink all day in the sun and then be ready to go out at night (especially after doing the same thing the day before).   I was a party pooper Saturday night and went to bed around 11.  Everyone else went to one of the only bars in town and they said it was fun.  They had a live band which is always a good time.  Here are a few pictures from the trip.

This is the little island that we were hanging out on.

We are the Champions!!!

Drew and I played on a flag football team with our friends.  Now, I am not going to lie.....the first game I was terrified!  I had no clue what was going on and I was scared about being knocked around a little bit.  After I got the hang of it though I had a great time.  I even caught balls and had a pick!  Drew was our quarter back.  He did a great job!  He has a really good arm and made tons of very impressive passes.  Drew pulled a muscle the first game and got a concussion in another game.  The concussion was scary because he couldn't remember anything about that day.  We went to get it checked out and he was fine.  What a trooper!  Anyway, we made it to the championship game and won!  It was so much fun!!!

Good Job Drew!

Drew took the second part of the CFA test yesterday.  It is a three year test and is very intense and difficult.  Drew passed the first section last June.  He has been studying for months to take the second part and has worked so hard!  He would come home after work, eat dinner and then study for a few hours and he would always put in at least ten hours on the weekends.  I don't know how he did it? You should have seen all of the formulas he had to memorize!  I am just so proud of him!  We will find out in August if he passed (only about 30% pass).   Drew said that he feels good about his chances so hopefully we will have good news soon.  Anyway, we went out last night to celebrate and we are both happy that the test is over!  WAY TO GO DREW!!!!!!!

25 Years!

Today is my parents 25th wedding anniversary!  I just wanted to tell them happy anniversary!  They are such a perfect couple and they set such a great example for all of their kids (and son-in-law).  My dad is such a hard worker.  He has always put his family first and worked hard so that we could live a comfortable life, go to college and have wonderful lives!  He taught me so much about having good values, never giving up ,treating people with respect and working hard to accomplish my goals.  My mom stayed home with us and she was/is the best mom.  Not only is she an amazing cook but also a best friend to all of us (especially as we get older).  She is such a nice kind-hearted person and I really look up to her!  I love both of them so much and I hope they know how much I appreciate them!  They gave me the best childhood and I hope that Drew and I are as happy as they are in 23 more years!

Style Show

On Sunday I was a model in my schools style show.  I know, it's embarrassing!  Anyway, all of the 8th graders are in the show and then they ask a few teachers and a few little kids to be in it.  We all wore clothes from Dillard's and got our hair and make-up done.  The show was followed by a luncheon.  Here are a few pictures.
