Charlotte Two Months

Charlotte is two months old. Although for me, it feels like she's been here much longer! She has been the best little baby. She is never really fussy unless she's hungry or gets over tired. She has started to smile a lot and it is just the cutest thing! I think she gets more adorable everyday. She is getting so big too (about 13 pounds). She holds her head up really well and feels much sturdier than she used to. She is not sleeping through the night yet but usually only gets up once so she's doing pretty good. Charlotte loves looking at her mommy and daddy. She also loves her nightly baths and her swing. Drew and I feel so lucky to have this perfect, sweet little baby girl! Here are a few of her most recent pictures.

Charlotte has been trying for weeks to suck her thumb. Usually she just ends up sucking on her knuckle or her palm. Lately she's been pretty good at getting her thumb in her mouth but can't keep it in there for very long. Here's a picture of her trying.
Here she is dressed up for the OU Texas game. Her bow says OU in rhinestones.
When I am not holding her, feeding, her, changing her diaper, burping her or doing her never ending laundry, I am watching her nap on this. It's my new favorite show!

Charlotte 6 Weeks

Little Charlotte just gets cuter every day! She smiles now and it is so cute! Her smiles usually come right after she eats and right after I change her diaper. I guess she is happy to be full and clean! Here are a few pictures of her right after her diaper change.

Charlotte's First Month

Our sweet baby girl will be a month old on Thursday! She is doing great! She has had lots of visitors. Paula and Patricia were here two weekends ago, my dad and Jake were here last weekend and Courtney is coming this weekend. We have loved having them here and we're thankful for all of their help! Here are some pictures of the past month.

Charlotte Elizabeth Allen is here!!!

Drew and I could not be happier! Little Charlotte is just the best and cutest baby ever! My labor was actually wonderful! I was induced at 9:00 and then got an epidural at 10:30 when my contractions were strong and two minutes apart. She was born after only about 5 contractions at 2:59 pm. She is healthy and beautiful! Her weight was 8lbs 4oz and her length was 19 3/4".

She has been such a good baby. She eats and then stays awake for a little bit just looking around. After she is awake for about 30 minutes, she sleeps for about an hour and a half or two hours and then eats again. The days have gone by so fast and we just can't believe that she is already a week old. We love her so much already and can't wait for everyone to meet her. Here are some pictures of our sweet baby girl! By the way, to see pictures bigger just double click on them. To get back to the blog hit esc.

Baby Update

Well, I've got about two weeks to go! I went to the Dr. on Friday and I was 2 cm dilated and 50% effaced. I have gained 25 pounds. My belly is measuring average so the Dr. said the baby would probably be around 7.5 lbs. The babies heart rate was good and so was my blood pressure. The Dr. said the baby could be here in two days or two weeks so now Drew and I are just waiting. We have the nursery all put together, the bassinet in our room, the car seat in the car and our bags packed. Come on baby!!! Here are a couple pictures of me looking like I'm about to pop! It feels like there is no more room for the baby to get any bigger!

Boston

Our last stop was Boston. Drew and I both agreed that Boston was the most charming city. Our favorite things were Newbury Street, The Duck Tour and Boston Common. We had so much fun on our trip but now it's nice to be home!

New York

We had the most fun in New York thanks to Lynn and Porter! Our favorite things in NYC were: going to dinner at a restaurant that overlooks the Statue of Liberty, going to visit Porter at Fox News, eating ice cream at Serendipity, Lynn's surprise 31st birthday party, going to Central park and seeing Melanie and her girls. Here are the pics from NYC.

Here we are with Bill O' Reilly (I know Gramma S. will like this one). He was very nice and very tall!
Heraldo Rivera. He was very friendly and seemed very down to earth.
Bill Hemmer. He was great. He even asked us to sit down so we could chat a little bit.

We saw Matt Damon filming a movie.
